Plays widely an active part as artists such as painter, illustrator, and theatrical artist. Particularly, the character design of 'Final Fantasy', which he created, is well known. His delicate and fantastic touch is also very popular in Europe. He starts one-man exhibition one after another, also he was honored many prize all over the world including The Hugo Awards and Jury Awards. |

After visiting Scholar Graduate School, Columbia University and Asian Cultural Council, established Kengo Kuma & Associates. Appointed as Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University since 2001. Awarded Architectural Institute of Japan Award for "Noh Stage in the Forest" in 1997. Awarded Spirit of Nature Wood Architecture Award, Finland, in 2002 for his nature wood architecture including "Bato-machi Hiroshige Museum". |

| Born 1929, in Nagano. Avant-garde artist, Novelist. Started producing illusory paintings consisting of dots and nets since childhood. Moved to the U.S.A by herself in 1957, where her creative work gave shock waves through art circles and established her status as an avant-gardearlist. Keep holding exhibitions all over the world after coming back to Japan in 1973. Also released a lot of novels and poetical works. Awarded numerous prizes both in Japan and overseas, for example the 18th Praemium Imperial. |
